I finished spinning the singles of the first 4 oz. of the Black Currant corriedale that I purchased last spring. I prepped the plying ball for a 3 ply yarn. The bit on the spindle is chain plied from the singles left over from the plying ball as I didn't do very well splitting the first bump of fiber. I'm glad I figured out how to chain ply on a spindle. It is a bit slower than traditional plying, but I can see how it could be useful. The plying ball is going to rest until I get the remaining 4 oz of singles spun up.
